Vice Versa Block of the Month Sampler Quilt Pattern. (2014)

 Make classic blocks and their inverse, then set them in a modern on-point setting.  8 classic blocks are made with 4 colors as we normally see them.  To explore how color changes a quilt block, the same block is made inverted - so the color goes in the background and vice versa.  The resulting look is a whole new block! Set these "sister" pairs together or mix and match to make the quilt a visual treat.

Finished Quilt Sizes:  57.5" x 57.5" (9" finished blocks) OR 74.5" x 74.5" (12" finished blocks). Designed as a 10-Month BOM.

SISTERS - Sister Blocks.

Every month, participants will make 2 blocks - a "set" or "pair".  Each pair are called "Sister Blocks".  Making BOM blocks in pairs allow you to learn as you work. By making two of each block, we can play, improve upon our  fabric selections, or try out something different.  

SENTIMENTAL - The Sister Swap (Optional).

After you complete your blocks, you keep one and pass the other to your partner.  In the end, you both will end up with a quilt where half of the blocks are made by yourself and half of the blocks are made by your partner. A sentimental keepsake.
