Have you made a resolution to use your Stash this year? I am slowly making dents in mine.
Check out my new Old Mohawk Pattern. This new pattern utilitizes the Contrary Wife block in 5 different color combinations to make a unique mosaic pattern with a stripe that reminds me of a mohawk. :) The mixing of prints and solids makes delightful color combinations, and I'm hoping you can mix and match from your stash.
FABRIC CHART - NEW FEATURE!
I've included a special chart to help you choose the major colors and tones in your fabric stack for this quilt. This chart is a life saver! It's so helpful in organizing and labeling fabric choices. It guides you on the number of colors, and choosing light/med/dark shades of each.
You can choose to make this quilt in any of the FOUR sizes. Crib - Queen. The cool thing about this pattern is that the bigger the quilt, the bigger the blocks you make. It would be so fun to make one of the larger sizes to show off large scale prints.
Want to make one? Here's what you need to know.

Supplemental Video Tutorial for making 8 Half Square Triangles at a Time

Fun Fact: Old Mohawk is a restaurant I used to frequent in Columbus when I worked at the Children's Hospital years ago. I miss their lunches!
To supplement the pattern, I made a video tutorial to help you make half square triangles 8 at a time. When we're making so many of them, this 8 at once method is super efficient and it yields HSTs cut on the straight of grain too. Love this method! Click the pic below to watch the video.
Enjoy OLD MOHAWK. These colors are my perfect mix.
