I’ve been wanting to do a few simple tutorials to help with skill building. There are so many great quilt blocks out there - and if you take the time to learn a few little tricks - you can go a long way!
My favorite quilts of all time are sampler quilts. If you’ve been around here for a while, you know I love a good sampler! But I also know that when you first look at a lot of samplers, they look complicated and daunting. Too many blocks and seams, oh my. But if you take them one block at a time, you can slowly work through each block. At the end, you’ll be surprised at how much you’ve learned!
I created this tutorial as a supplement to the video tutorial I made for the “4 Flying Geese at a Time” technique. If you are making a quilt with lots of flying geese, this is definitely the way to go. It cuts down on fabric waste and time. Those kind of tricks are my favorite. Enjoy!
